Food that heals, not just fills

INTRODUCTION
🌾 Millets are ancient whole grains that are naturally gluten-free, rich in fiber, and packed with minerals. They’re excellent for modern lifestyle conditions like diabetes, weight gain, and gut issues.
Millets are small-seeded grains cultivated in India for thousands of years.
“Millets nourish the gut, balance blood sugar, and provide sustained energy — rooted in tradition, backed by science.”
👨⚕️ Doctor
I am a doctor who believes that food is the first medicine. After years of seeing lifestyle diseases rising — diabetes, gut issues, hormonal imbalance — I knew something had to change. That’s why we created Gud Gut — a range of traditionally inspired, scientifically crafted millet-based foods.
Each product is thoughtfully formulated to nourish the gut, balance blood sugar, and provide complete nutrition — without compromising on taste.
Rooted in tradition. Backed by medical knowledge. Made with integrity.
🌾 Understanding Anti-Nutrients
1️⃣ Phytates (Phytic Acid) Most common anti-nutrient in millets. Binds with minerals like: Iron, Zinc, Calcium, Magnesium. Reduces mineral absorption. 👉 Present in: Foxtail millet, Little millet, Finger millet, Pearl millet.
2️⃣ Tannins – Reduce protein digestibility, interfere with iron absorption, give slightly bitter taste. 👉 Higher in darker varieties (like finger millet/ragi).
3️⃣ Oxalates – Bind with calcium, excess may contribute to kidney stones. 👉 Present more in finger millet (ragi).
4️⃣ Goitrogens (in Pearl Millet) – Can interfere with thyroid function if consumed in very large amounts with low iodine. 👉 Mainly in pearl millet (bajra).
🌾 Should We Worry? For most healthy people — No. Millets also contain: ✔ High fiber ✔ Polyphenols (antioxidants) ✔ Protein ✔ Complex carbs ✔ Low glycemic index. When eaten in a balanced diet, benefits outweigh the anti-nutrients.
